Now that spring is here and the summer/vacation time will be upon us shortly, let us all
remember that safety should be of great priority.
Safety is an everyday habit, not just a checkbox. Cultivating a strong safety culture – whether
at home, online, or at work – requires proactive awareness, continuous communication, and
simple, actionable habits to mitigate risks and protect your home, workplace, and
community.
Stop: Pause before starting any new task.
Look: Scan your area or work space for hazards (e.g., loose cords, uneven ground,
clutter, etc.).
Control: Take action to fix the hazard (e.g., clean up a spill, move items out of the
way).
Cyber Security is also critical, but often overlooked, component of modern safety. Protect
your digital footprint by:
1. Enable MFA: Turn on Multi - Factor Authentication (MFA) on all accounts. This will
prevent unauthorized access.
2. Use a Password Manager: Generate unique, complex passwords for every platform to
safeguard against data breaches.
3. Beware of Phishing: Never click on suspicious links or download attachments from
unknown senders.
Safety thrives when everyone looks out for each other. Remember, safety isn’t a destination
- it’s an ongoing journey. Stay alert, Stay connected and Stay safe!
